Help desk, every school day
When something breaks mid‑class, your staff calls us instead of you. Teachers reach a real person by phone, email, or message all through the school year, and get clear updates until the problem is actually resolved.
IT for Education
Frontier IT Consulting serves school districts across Alaska, with deep experience in rural districts on and off the road system — and a thorough understanding of the school environment: the technology, the instructional tools, the finances, and student safety.
Who does the work
We work alongside Remote Hands Alaska, which hires folks in rural communities to do the on-site work, and we back it with training and technology education for the staff who use the equipment every day. A district gets professional IT support, and the community gets jobs and training along with it.
Services
When something breaks mid‑class, your staff calls us instead of you. Teachers reach a real person by phone, email, or message all through the school year, and get clear updates until the problem is actually resolved.
Every student and teacher has a device that works. We configure, update, track, and coordinate repairs on what your district already owns — and say so when something is worn out.
Internet and Wi‑Fi in every classroom with the filtering student use requires, plus displays, projectors, sound, intercom and bells, door access, and cameras.
Logins, email, shared files, and printing, in Google or Microsoft. We coordinate the technical side of your student information system and bring in trusted specialists.
We back up your files, block scam emails and outside attacks, and train your staff to spot trouble early. Student records stay protected the way the law requires.
New buildings, phased device replacements, and district‑wide upgrades scheduled around your calendar, plus replacement planning and the E‑Rate paperwork.
How we work with districts
A district is not a business. Tools have to fit how teachers actually teach, and we can speak to curriculum and the classroom tools already in use.
No school budget has room for technology that exists for its own sake. If it does not help teaching or operations, we will say so.
We can be the whole technology department, or back up the one or two people who already keep everything running.
Big work happens over breaks, and our planning follows your budget cycle, not the sales calendar.
